How to install

Once you have downloaded the Formula Mapper.zip file:

1. Unzip the contents of the ‘Formula Mapper.zip’ file to a local hard drive.

2. Start Excel.

3. Choose Add-Ins from the Tools menu.

4. In the Add-Ins dialog box click the Browse button, browse to the location of Formula Mapper.xla.

5. Click OK.

6. The Add-Ins dialog box should now show a new add-in as being installed called ‘Formula Mapper’, confirm this add-in has a tick next to it.

7. Click OK.

The Formula Mapper will now be installed, and Excel will display a new menu item called Map Formulas on the Tools menu.

Notes

The Add-Ins command will be disabled on the Tools menu if a workbook is not open.

It does not matter where you choose to put the add-in on your hard drive.

The add-in has not been tested to be shared over a network and should therefore be installed locally.

The contents of the file ‘Formula Mapper.zip’ is:

1. Formula Mapper.xla – this is the formula mapper add-in.

2. Formula Mapper Help.chm – this is the formula mapper help file and should be installed in the same location as Formula Mapper.xla.
